If you’ve got a user account on NCEdCloud, then you probably know about the benefits it brings. For example, your users can access different applications from their desktops. It also means that they can log in with a single user ID and password to get access to all of the apps. This seamless login process between apps is what makes NCEdCloud so powerful and convenient for users. The problem is that users might occasionally forget their passwords or simply have difficulties logging in. Fortunately, there are easy ways to reset your password and get back into your account again.
Change Your Password
The first step to recovery is changing your password. This is because one of the easiest ways to reset a password is simply changing it. So, if your password is too simple and easy to guess, you will want to change it as soon as possible. You can change your password in two different ways: one is through the App Console, and the other is through the application itself. To do it through the console, select ‘Users’ from the navigation bar on the left. You will see a list of all users with their information and actions that can be performed on them listed on the right. Select the user whose password you want to change, and then click on ‘Change Password’ on the right-hand side.
Reset with Google Authentication
If you know the user’s current password, you can reset it with Google Authentication and have them log in again with a new password. Log in as an administrator Go to the Users tab. Locate the user whose password you want to reset. Click on the ‘Reset Password’ action on the right-hand side. Click on ‘Reset with Google Authentication’. Enter the user’s email address, and click on ‘Next’. You should now get a text on your phone with a code. Enter the code and click ‘Next’ again.
Retrieve with a Recovery Key
If you’re an administrator and want to reset the password without asking the user to log in again, you can generate a recovery key. Administrators can generate a 16-character recovery key that can be used to reset the password without the user’s knowledge. Log in as an administrator Go to the Users tab. Locate the user whose password you want to reset. Click on the ‘Reset Password’ action on the right-hand side. Click on ‘Generate Recovery Key’. Copy the recovery key and save it somewhere. Click on ‘Reset Password’ again and enter the recovery key.
Retrieve using an Admin Account
If all else fails, you can log in as an administrator and reset the password for the user. This will log them out, and you will get access to their account on NCEdCloud. This is the last resort, but it is an easy way to get back in. Log in as an administrator Go to the Users tab. Locate the user whose password you want to reset. Click on the ‘Reset Password’ action on the right-hand side. Enter the new password and click on ‘Reset Password’.
As you can see, you can recover your login password on NCEdCloud in several ways. The most important thing to remember is that you should be careful to avoid losing your account in the first place. If you keep your account secure, it will be much easier to retrieve if you ever forget your password.
